The grand opening ceremony of the training program Strengthening Government through Capacity Development (SGCD) 2013 for the BCS cadre officials of Bangladesh took place at the University Putra Malaysia (UPM). Prof. Dato' Dr. Mohd Fauzi Hj. Ramlan, Vice Chancellor of the university, inaugurated the program in the presence of Mr. Abdus Sobhan Sikder - the Senior Secretary of the Government of Bangladesh, Prof. Dr. Arfah Salleh - Dean of The Graduate School of Management (UPM), Mr. Feroz Abu Naser - CEO of Easycs Sdn Bhd, and the participants of the program.

On the 30th January 2013, the participants of the Batch-1 and the Batch-2 of the training program "Strengthening Government through Capacity Develop-ment of the BCS Cadre Officials of Bangladesh" were taken to visit Jabatan Perkhidmatan Awam Malaysia (JPA) also known as Public Service Department of Malaysia.
The team was led by Dr. Silvaraj, the program coordinator for University Putra Malaysia (UPM). A number of high officials from JPA were present during the visit to explain participants the works carried out by the department.

The opening ceremony for the combined group (Batch 3 and Batch 4) for the program Strengthening Government through Capacity Development (SGCD) 2013 took place on the 18th February, 2013. Prof. Dr. Arfah Salleh - Dean of Putra Business School, University Putra Malaysia (UPM), inaugurate the training program.
Besides the participants from the two batches, lecturers, program co-ordinator, and the facilitators were present in the occasion. Mr. Mamataz Ala Shakoor, Joint Secretary, Finance Division, Dhaka represented the participants.

February 20, 2013

 

On the 20th February 2013 the participants of the group (batch-3 and batch-4) were take to Malaysian Agricultural Research and Development Institute (MARDI) for their 1st field visit. The senior officials from MARDI welcome the group. The leader of each batch shared their view about the agricultural research and development status in Bangladesh. The official from MARDI explain the objective and achievment of MARDI to the participants.

The combined opening ceremony for Batch 5 and Batch 6 of the training program Strengthening Government through Capacity Development (SGCD) 2013 took place on the 18th March, 2013. Prof. Dr. Arfah Salleh - Dean of Putra Business School, University Putra Malaysia (UPM), inaugurate the training program.Apart from the participants of the two batches - program co-ordinator, facilitators and other faculty members were present in the occasion.

March 28, 2013

 

The 28th March 2013, the participants of batch 5 and batch 6 were take to visit Putraja Holdings - the Master Developer and driving force behind Malaysia's award-winning administrative capital, Putrajaya. Senior officials from Putrajaya Holdings welcome the participants. According to them Putrajaya Holdings Sdn Bhd was incorporated on October 19, 1995 with the initial responsibility of designing and developing 20-year Putrajaya Masterplan.

On the 3rd April 2013, participants of the batch 5 were taken to the head quarters of the Federal Land Development Authority (FELDA) - a Malaysian government agency that was founded to handle the resettlement of rural poor into newly developed areas and to organise smallholder farms growing cash crops. Participants were greated by the officials of FELDA and explained the various achievments and undertakings of the organization.

April 04, 2013

 

On the 4th April the participants of batch 5 visited Bank Negara Malaysia - the Central Bank of Malaysia. Established on 26 January 1959 as Central Bank of Malaya (Bank Negara Tanah Melayu), its main purpose is to issue currency, act as banker and adviser to the Government of Malaysia and regulate the country's financial institutions, credit system and monetary policy. The group was lead by Dr. Silvaraj - the coordinator of the program.

April 09, 2013

 

On April 09, 2013 the participants of the batch 5 visited the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI). MITI is one of the two ministry under the Ministry of Trade and Industry. The other ministry is the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDN). The group was lead by Dr. Silvaraj - the coordinator and also a lecturer of the program. The participants were attended by the respective officials of the ministry.
